***Compressor Precautions****New compressors come with a small factory oil charge. This oil charge is not necessarily the correct amount needed. It’s suggested that you drain oil from new oil compressor and add the correct amount of oil needed for your application. APU units require 8 ounces of PAG100 oil. The filter drier should also be replaced when a new compressor is installed
Charge 1.2 lbs. (0.54 Kg) minimum, 2.0 lbs (0.9 Kg) maximum. Correct system charge varies, depending upon installation and refrigeration hose lengths. |
